Christian Solidarity

HOPE, FAITH, & LOVE

I have decided to join with other Christian Solidarity campaigns and will for a season, pray and wear orange to stand united with Christians who are facing suffering and persecution in the name of Jesus Christ. If you'd like to join me, I have a few wrist bands free of the asking.

This Christian Solidarity campaign is
being underpinned by scripture and prayer:
Hebrews. 13:3: "Continue to remember [in prayer] those in prison
as if you were together with them in prison,
and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering."

Since February 2015, Islamic State (IS) and others have released footage showing the beheadings and shooting of Christians. The groups have been lined up, wearing orange jumpsuits which have become a characteristic feature of their brutal videos.

Now, Christians across America are calling on the church to use the color orange to identify with those who are suffering, to pray for them, and to promote initiatives which support the persecuted Christians.

The Bible talks a lot about Christian Persecution and our responses.

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
2 Timothy 3:12 ESV

And Jesus said "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,"
Matthew 5:44 ESV
